Mirroring an FTP site is a quick and easy way to transfer files. This can be performed to clone an FTP directory to your local drive or vice versa.
Creating a Mirror Site:
Make a connection to an FTP site. After you have selected the folder you would like to transfer to or from, select the Tools > Mirror FTP… menu to access the Mirror FTP dialog box. The Server folder field should have been filled in. Type in or use the browse folder button to enter the path and local folder. If you want to include all subfolders, check off the Include subfolders box, also indicate which direction you want to transfer files to in the Mirroring direction section.
Options tab
Mirroring a site can be done in the background by checking the Run in background option in Options tab. You can opt to update existing files only with newer ones by checking off the Replace files that are older than mirrored files option. New files and folders can be included or excluded to the transfer with the Add new files or folders checkbox. At times you may experience unsuccessful transfers. By entering the Number of transfer retries, you can provide a maximum number of tries Concord FTP will reconnect and transfer again.
Connection tab
In the event that you encounter connection problems, the Connection options will help you customize the process of your scheduling. You can set the maximum number of retries to connect. You can also setup the waiting time between consecutive attempts, and how long before it is considered timed-out for each attempt.
Filters
You can use the Filters tab to transfer only files that satisfy the specified Filters criteria. For example, you can include (Accept) only those files with the html extension, or exclude (Reject) all files with the html extension.
Scheduling a Mirror Site transfer:
If you schedule a Mirror site transfer, make your connection to an FTP site. After you have selected the folder you would like to transfer to or from, select the Tools >Schedule Mirror FTP… menu to access the Schedule Mirror FTP dialog box. Enter a Task name and any comments to help describe the procedure. You may include a user name and password in their respective fields.
When tab
The When tab establishes the timing of your Mirroring. Here you may set the date, time, and frequency of the transfers. You may set an ending date to unconditionally stop the transfer by entering a date in the Ending date field and checking the box. At this point your scheduled transfer will be ready for operation.
